This is an intaglio etching always printed in black. There are only seven
in existence. The plate was accidentally destroyed. The sky is done with
sugar lift which gives it the random effect. Solvent was used to give
the circular motion to the clouds. This print shows what a vast field
of rocks might have looked like after the WPA (Works Progress Administration)
got a hold of it. A tongue in cheek look at the WPA. It was printed on
Rives BFK printmaking paper.
